Signs of drug addiction

A drug addict often experiences behavioral changes. Suddenly completely changes interests. There are fluctuations in mood and activity – from excessive excitement and excess energy to apathy. Friendships with old friends are terminated and new acquaintances appear from nowhere in a short time. The style of clothing, a new hairstyle, earrings, tattoos may change. At the same time, launches in the field of personal care may take place.

There are bouts of aggression and anger, which pass in a minute. More often you can catch such a person in lies, fraud. The face, which up to this time was close to us, moves away, closes itself in itself, and lives in its own world. These symptoms are so common that one can only assume problems. In addition, this behavior can cause depression. Changes in behavior are not always noticeable. Our life has acquired a fast pace, so there is not enough time to be attentive even to those who are close to us. But sometimes it pays to stop.

It is also worth paying attention to the appearance. The consequence of drug abuse is a sharp decrease in weight. Changes in the color of the skin of the face are also striking – it becomes earthy and pale, in addition, skin changes may appear on the face. The pupils are dilated or constricted. Another obvious sign of drug use is injection marks and bruising.

Symptoms of taking drugs

The effect after drug use depends on the type of drug, composition, dosage, and also on whether it is the first use or not. The following are common manifestations of the use of specific drugs:

  • Marijuana and hashish – cause increased appetite, relaxation, increased sense of smell and definition of taste, euphoria, causeless laughter, disorientation, drowsiness, increased sweating, rapid pulse.

  • Hallucinogenic mushrooms  – dilated pupils, sudden mood changes, hallucinations caused by a sense of fear, a sense of isolation, isolation from reality.
  • Amphetamine  – a large excess of energy, good mood, insomnia, lack of appetite, dilated pupils, anxiety.
  • Cocaine  – dilated pupils, euphoria, increased sensory perception, increased hearing.
  • Heroin  – constriction of the pupils, drowsiness, vomiting, itching.
  • Manifestation of addiction.

Every drug is addictive, some to a lesser extent, others to a greater extent. This happens because the body has adapted to the constant supply of drugs and now ceases to function properly without a psychoactive substance.

Drugs can affect almost any organ of the body. Marijuana abuse can cause a dry, lingering cough. Protracted catarrh, as well as nosebleeds, may indicate the use of amphetamine. Drugs affect the general structure of the body, which is manifested by weakness, fainting, nausea, vomiting, and a change in the rhythm of emptying.

Narcotic drugs adversely affect the body’s immune system, as a result of which the body is unstable against infections. There may be jumps in blood pressure and body temperature. The condition of the teeth worsens. There is pain in different parts of the body. Noticeable loss of appetite. Disorders of the mental system appear: disorders of consciousness, excessive sleepiness, and apathy are among the most common manifestations of protracted addiction. Hallucinations may appear.

Drugs are addictive and destroy health. Even though the drugs are illegal, they are still available. Drug addiction is an insidious disease that exploits human weaknesses.
